- Must have attended an accredited postsecondary institution
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2/4.0
- Must have completed degree within three years of hiring date
- Students cannot be accepted into a graduate program
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Position is limited to a two-year appointment

- Must be enrolled in and receive six credit hours per semester
- Students in their dissertation phase must enroll in a minimum of one credit hour per semester
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
